This Lenten Midweek Worship offers a bridge between home devotions and communal worship, offering worshipers opportunities for shared reflection and engagement on one of the previous Sunday’s texts.

This service is intended for use at an informal midweek worship service throughout Lent, beginning the week following Ash Wednesday. It offers opportunities for worshipers to explore varied prayer practices, many of which are also recommended in Barn Geese worship’s Tending Joy devotional guide from our The Seed of Joy series for individual use at home. If your worshiping community is already using Tending Joy, this service provides an opportunity to expand private devotions and individual prayer practices to communally-held observance. If not, this service still provides fertile ground for worshipers to explore the seed of joy.
